Увеличение женского участия в выборах в местные органы власти в Республике Молдова

Abstract

The problems of more active involving of women in political activity are examined in the article. The background is formed of the results of the project “The Increase of the Female Participation in Local Authorities’ Elections in Moldova”, which has been carried out by the business-association “International Center for Advancement of Women into Business” with the financial support of OSCE Mission to Moldova. The research within the project was carried out by the non-governmental organization “CERINDE”. The goal of the research project was to select women, who were willing to participate in local elections on June, 2011, for the teaching in skills of political activity and leadership as a whole. The principal selection method was a teaching candidates’ questioning, which had been carried out in 24 localities of the North, Central and South regions of the Republic on March-April, 2001. The project’s completion phase included the estimation of training members’ participation in the latest local elections.
