Abstract: | The article reveals the evolution of external trade of Transnistria, inclusive with the Republic of Moldova. There have been analysed main export and import products of the region: metals and articles thereof, and fuel and energy products respectively. Main trade partners have been identified. Thus, in EU countries, Transnistria exports more than imports, while with partners from CIS countries, it imports more. During the analysed period, the volume of exports of goods from Transnistria to the Republic of Moldova was characterized by an unstable character. At the same time, Moldova remains the main market for Transnistrian products. It was stated that economic processes could serve as a driving force in transforming the Transnistrian conflict by strengthening the mutual interests of the parties. |
