| Abstract: | A less studied aspect of migration, but which in recent times has aroused great interest is the impact of migration on those who remain in the country, namely children without parental care and aged parents. Parents of migrants often have to bear the heaviest physical and emotional burden caused by migration. A worrying consequence of migration for the elderly is their social exclusion. |
